All effects of Global Warming

Global warming is the increase in the avarage temperature of the Earth with the increase of carbon dioxide, methane and other gases. Global warming is also known as the "Greenhouse effect”. Physics tell us that any object warmer than absolute zero will radiate energy. With the increasing average global temperature, the water in the oceans expands in volume. The sea level has risen more than 120 meters since the peak of the last ice age about 18,000 years ago. Also the temperature has increased by about 0.17 °C between the 1950s and the 1980s. Moreover, there are also some other effects, for example methane released from melting permafrost and peat bogs; forest fires which are caused, and this is happening because of the rising global temperature; the sea, which absorbs heat from the sun; and the role of carbon dioxide in the process of photosynthesis.

Summary

I learned from this project that global warming project is very important and the truth is that before I did this project I didn’t have any idea about it, but now I understand it and I will do my best to save the world. All the world should stand up for this problem and give it full attention because if we leave it, it will harm the world. In some countries they are doing their best to save the world and to make the environment safer, by producing strict rules for keeping the environment clean and safe. In the United Arab Emirates, they are giving full attention to global warming and because of that they are giving each year certificates about the safety for the plants and people who are trying to do their best to reduce the carbon dioxide emissions and most of them get the point of how global warming can affect the world. In addition, each year the government making a conference for the scientists to talk about global warming and how it in the gulf can affect the environment. Especially in the Gulf people have very high temperature in the summer, so they have to work as a group and cooperate together to make strict rules for the environment. Finally, I can say that most of the world understands what global warming means and they are working to make the world clean from all the effects of it. Abu Dhabi will soon be home to the world’s first carbon neutral city, schools, airlines and more are doing it. All the world are eyes on Abu Dhabi because it will unveils plans for the first zero-carbon and this will be in 2009.Moreover, in the surrounding there will be wind farms, photovoltaic farms (which convert sunlight directly into electricity), research fields and plantations, to allow the city to be completely self-sustaining.
